His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib said that “In our commitment to the international contexts that sponsor and adopt the educational and cultural event in the world, the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces supporting the right to have education in the world and the Ministry calls on consolidating institutions and protecting the rights of staffs and students from all the challenges and emergency repercussions”. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib added that “On the 9th of September, as the United Nations adopts it as an international day to protect education from attacks, the Ministry calls on reviewing the laws in this field and raising the level of legislative guarantees that make education a basic and a starting point for achieving sustainable development”.
