His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi said that “Each year, in every stance and in every triumph of truth over falsehood, the sacred message of Ashura is revived. From its profound chapters, we draw inspiration in the form of sacrifice, steadfastness on principle and the timeless lessons of patience, dignity, freedom and heroism that were exemplified by Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him), his family and his loyal companions in the epic of Al-Taff, this eternal stand took Muharram Al-Haram as its time, martyrdom as its banner and Karbala as its field for the realization of the everlasting values of Islam”.

Dr. Al-Aboudi added that “As we extend our condolences to the Islamic nation, the Iraqi people and all the free people of the world on Ashura and recall from this great event a message of awareness, spiritual vitality and a living conscience that continues to inspire generations in their stand against injustice and tyranny, we pray to Almighty Allah to bestow His mercy, righteousness and acceptance of deeds upon our people and our Nation, He is All-Hearing, Ever-Responsive”.
