His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi directed to establish a College of Excellence in Arabic Language and Literature at University of Kufa, starting with the 2025/2026 academic year and this affirms the institutional approach aimed at consolidating the presence of the Arabic language and preserving its scientific and historical status.

Dr. Al-Aboudi said that pursuant to the ministerial decision, the newly established college will include three academic departments with a limited capacity of no more than 30 students per year, the duration of study is set at five years, at the end of which graduates will receive bachelor's and master's degrees, provided their GPA in the first three years is no less than 75%, as well as the decision includes the preparation of a plan to launch a Ph.D. program following the graduation of the first cohort, enhancing the research environment and opening up advanced prospects for graduate students.

His Excellency directed the Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up to establish admissions regulations and application mechanisms that ensure student recruitment and the development of qualified individuals capable of serving the community, consolidating cultural and scientific identity, and contributing to the development of the specialized academic landscape.
