A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basrah on motivation and self-regulation of learning and their relation to academic achievement among university students by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Athraa Jabbar Sattar. The dissertation concluded that students who gain the motivation from the audience are of high achievement that they possess self-regulation, as well as a positive correlation between motivation and self-regulation.
