College of Education, Samarra University discussed a Ph.D. thesis on lipid profiles and some physiological and biochemical variables among patients with prostatic hyperplasia and inflammation in the Cities of Samarra and Dhuluiya by the postgraduate student, Mr. Muntadhar Muhammad Alwan.

The thesis aimed at evaluating some lipid profiles and a group of physiological, biochemical, and immunological variables in the serum of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostatitis in the Cities of Samarra and Dhuluiya.

 

The thesis demonstrated a clear relation between lipid profiles (leptin, adiponectin, and resistin) and prostate diseases, and that these profiles play an important role in promoting or inhibiting inflammation that may affect prostate tissue.
