The dissertation reviewed the use of sandy soil containing salt using a
new material, fiberglass at different ratios under the influence of machine
foundation loads.
The dissertation highlighted that sandy soil was mixed with salt at
ratios of 20% and 40%, while lower ratios such as 10% and 30% were tested but
not studied due to their minimal effect.
The dissertation demonstrated that increasing the percentage of
reinforcing material increases the efficiency of the foundation, a 2% ratio
yielded good results in soil settlement at a lower cost and the final results
of the improvement were better in saturated soils compared to dry soils.
