Anbar University Obtains Patent

The faculty members in the College of Agriculture, University of Anbar, Dr. Ammar Adel Saleh obtained a patent on manufacturing eatable bio-casings from the keratin of chicken feathers to preserve frozen chicken chunks. The patent aimed at getting rid of by-products of massacre waste such as feathers that cause environmental damage, as well as manufacturing bio-caps that decompose naturally suitable preserving meat instead of using plastic bags. The patent reviewed improving the qualitative specifications of the stored meat by preserving it with biological canning made from slaughterhouse waste (feathers) to introduce a new line in production that works on investing young energies, especially graduates of colleges of agriculture via employing them in laboratories of manufacturing the biological casings.
