Technical College- Al-Musayyib, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University discussed a Ph.D. thesis on medical importance of Artemisinin and Santonin induced from the callus of the wormwood plant via using Gibberellin Jasmonic acid and yeast extract by the postgraduate student, Mr. Mustafa Salim Habib. The thesis aimed at investigating the effect of Artemisinin and Santonin on the productivity of wormwood callus, which is of medical importance for some cancerous diseases, diseases of the digestive system, liver, depression, joint pain and bones. The thesis reviewed that the cultivation of plant parts of the wormwood plant ex vivo and the induction of the cell suspension of tissue callus via treating them with a combination of plant growth regulators for two types of separated and sterilized plant parts in the laboratory, and then treating them with a combination of Biostimulants separately. The thesis confirmed that the Biostimulants have an effective role in increasing the production of Artemisinin and Santonin and in turn increasing the production of callus in the wormwood plant, by diagnosing and separating them outside and inside the vivo, which at the same time produced a significant increase in the effectiveness of antioxidant enzymes.
