College of Urban Planning, University of Kufa held a symposium on mechanism of sustainable development of agricultural land in the Province of Wasit- a study on sustainable development with a planning vision.
The symposium included addressing problem of poor reclamation of agricultural land in the province and the possibility of finding new strategies for sustainable development, appropriate economic, environmental and social methods, as well as the provision of water resources and other requirements.
The workshop recommended implementing and disseminating environmental sustainable technologies in the farms and development of conventional integrated management systems, such as organic agriculture, integrated pest control, integrated plant nutrition systems, crop production systems and consumer concerns of food safety.
