During a meeting with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Baghdad, Mr. Cui Wei, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewes ways of developing scientific and educational partnerships between the two countries' universities.

Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized the importance of expanding fields of joint academic cooperation, as well as calling for the establishment of an Iraqi-Chinese university specializing in artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies.

His Excellency highlighted that the Ministry is proceeding with its strategy based on diversifying knowledge sources and opening up to leading global experiences in the fields of artificial intelligence and technological innovation.

For his part, the Chinese Ambassador expressed his country's keenness on joint developing academic cooperation in the fields of education and technology, welcoming the move to establish an academic institution specializing in artificial intelligence that would contribute to develop the knowledge infrastructure and serve the goals of sustainable development.
