Kirkuk University’s Online Master's Dissertation: On RSV & Children's Tonsillitis

An online master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Science, University of Kirkuk on role of RSV and some bacteria in Children's tonsillitis under five years in Duhok Governorate by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Noor Issam-Al-Deen Mahmoud. The online study reviewed the role of the respiratory cell virus and some types of bacteria that cause tonsillitis in children under the age of five and the antibiotics against the RSV virus among tonsillitis patients, as well as determining the type and percentage of pathogenic bacteria and the role of the common viral and bacterial infection causing the tonsillitis. The online study concluded that the most common bacterial isolates that cause tonsillitis in children are Streptococcus Pyogencs and that 51.67% of children with tonsillitis have antibiotics positive to RSV besides that 41.67% of these children have a secondary bacterial co-infection with the virus.
