A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Science, University of Al-Mustansiriyah on designing of two new algorithms to improve the contrast of the colored digital images based on fuzzy logic by the postgraduate student, Mr. Mortadha Qassim Jawad. The study aimed at improving the contrast of irregularly lit colored images via using two algorithms (FNMF and FLPMF) based on fuzzy logic and comparing them with a number of traditional used methods in this field. The study concluded that improving contrast is one of the difficult fields of image processing, especially since images with good contrast and lighting fall into multiple applications such as remote sensitivity, good vision and improving aerial and medical images and underwater images.
