Directorate of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on launching the Iraqi Academic Journals website (https://iasj.net) on the international network that includes recognized scientific journals issued by universities and academic institutions. The Directorate reviewed that this national project for indexing the Iraqi research and scientific output, which was launched in a manner that fit with the international standard formula, which includes more than 169,000 full-text researches from 293 journals issued by 67 academic and scientific institutions. The Directorate highlighted that this scientific achievement comes in light of the efforts and programs of the Directorate in light of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's plan for digital transformation, which will include adding features that enable researchers to submit their researches electronically via a comprehensive platform for all Iraqi journals in a coordinated and integrated manner. It is worth mentioning that the indexes will contribute to index the Iraqi research output within the international websites and raise the level of scientific research besides it will also increase the chances of citing Iraqi researches around the world.
