A Ph.D. thesis was discussed in the College of Science, University of Babylon on preparing of new hetero-flavones and their applications by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Hala Shokhair. The thesis reviewed a group of derivatives of organic compounds based on resorcinol compounds to prepare new derivatives of 2,1,3-triazole flavone imine. The thesis demonstrated that all compounds were characterized by the analysis spectrum of the infrared spectra FT-IR and the nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of the proton 1H-NMR and the carbon isotope 13C-NMR. The thesis highlighted the purity of the compounds prepared via using (TLC) technology by studying the physical properties and biological activity of the prepared compounds, especially their action as anti-bacterial, anti-oxidants and anti-cancer agents.
