Department of Pharmacology in the College of Medicine, University Al-Nahrain held a symposium on medicinal herbs and their promising role in treating diseases. The symposium reviewed the role of medicinal herbs in treating various diseases, especially cancerous diseases, through the ability of some herbs to inhibit the acceleration in cell growth through different mechanisms. The symposium highlighted the drug interactions between medicinal herbs and chemical drugs and the role of herbs supporting chemical drugs that treat cancer.
