Center of Hematology, University of Al-Mustansiriyah delivered an online lecture on the importance of hormones and methods of their diagnosis, the Faculty Member in the Center, Dr. Aseel Majeed Hameed said. Dr. Hameed added that the online lecture reviewed the importance of hormones, after which chemicals are produced from the endocrine glands in the human body to transfer directly to the bloodstream and then to the various organs and tissues, as well as reviewing their role in controlling most of the main bodily functions and complex systems as reproduction. Dr. Hameed continued by saying that the online lecture highlighted different types of hormones that the human body contains, the endocrine glands responsible for their production and the various functions performed by these chemicals, as well as the causes of the hormonal imbalance, its general symptoms and diagnostic tests. Dr. Hameed said that the online lecture recommended the necessity of establishing specialized laboratories for hormones in the Iraqi colleges and research centers and equipping clinical chemistry laboratories with a device for measuring the level of hormones for their scientific and therapeutic importance.
