The faculty member in the Center of Hematology, University of Al-Mustansiriyah, Dr. Ziad Ahmed Shabib and the faculty member in Al-Iraqia University, Dr. Ahmed Rushdie delivered an online joint lecture on cancer stem cells. The online joint lecture reviewed the mechanism of action of stem cells in various cancer cases and the importance of eliminating these cells to provide safe and more efficient treatments of chemotherapy and radiation in order to increase the rates and rates of patient recovery. The online joint lecture demonstrated the introduction to the history of the discovery of cancerous stem cells, which were in acute leukemia, the most important application areas that are involved in it, methods of isolating and developing them in Different laboratory conditions, the mechanics by which these cells work and the extent to which the micro-environment surrounding them in the laboratory affects their growth and methods of treatment. The online joint lecture recommended the necessity of strengthening scientific cooperation between health and research institutions in the field of developing cancer stem cell research and conducting special programs on targeted therapy, as well as the importance of conducting applied research in this field.
