A joint research team in the University of Al-Mustansiriyah and the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University conducted a joint study on analyzing the charging plate with a unipolar capacitive transmission system for charging electric vehicle batteries. The joint study aimed at testing the ring and square panels used in the capacitive power transmission system (CPT) unipolar to charge electric vehicle batteries (EV), as well as a comparison of the impairment results for the two panels. The joint study, which was published in the Journal of Practical Manufacturing in SCOPUS, demonstrated conducting a number of experiments to analyze the annular and square plate configurations of the capacitive power transmission system to test vertical, lateral, angle and rotational imbalances and the interoperability between the different plate configurations. The joint study concluded that the annular plate comparator provides better coupling capacity than the square plate and that the annular plate shows compatibility with the annular plate only, while the square plate has compatibility with both square and disc plates. It is worth mentioning that the joint research team was the faculty members in Al-Mustansiriyah University, Dr. Ammar Ghaleb and Dr. Sadiq Kadhim and the faculty members in Al Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Dr. Sarab Jaweed and the researcher, Mr. Muhammad Shihab Ahmed.
