College of Engineering, Al-Iraqia University held an online workshop on electronic governance. The online workshop reviewed e-governance in general and Iraqi e-governance in particular, its objectives and the desired benefits from its implementation in the public and private sectors, as well as reviewing the factors of its application and success, addressing obstacles for the purpose of highlighting them and the steps to be taken to facilitate and speed up services provided to citizens and increase the efficiency of the work of government agencies. The online workshop aimed at urging government institutions to expedite the provision of human and material capabilities and technology necessary to shift to digital transactions and establish portals for government websites to facilitate quick access to government services for everyone. The online workshop highlighted the efficiency of the work of government agencies during their dealings with citizens and companies and the speed of completing procedures between government departments electronically.
