During the 8th international conference on modern technologies, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University reviewed with the participation of researchers from Iraqi and foreign universities, President of the University, Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi said. Dr. Al-Zuhairi added that the conference highlighted capacities’ building of faculty members and training staffs, as well as students and other sectors of society that meet the requirements of the current stage of the pandemic. Dr. Al-Zuhairi continued by saying that the conference aimed at exchanging experiences in the field of training and skills development via using methods of modern technologies, programs and applications and modern educational systems. Dr. Al-Zuhairi demonstrated that the conference recommended the importance of developing capabilities and skills and the gradual transition to an educational system that depends on technical certificates according to the needs of the labor market, as well as investing in the field of artificial intelligence, strengthening the axis of training and qualification for the purpose of sustainability in Higher Education’s institutions, building partnerships with reputable international universities and the labor market and keeping pace with rapid technological progress.
