A Ph.D. thesis was discussed in the College of Agriculture, University of Tikrit on the estimation of efficiency levels and optimal sizes of some vegetable crops for the 2018-2019 production season in Kirkuk Governorate, Hawija District, as a model by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Manar Saleh Hamad. The thesis aimed at estimating the technical and specialized efficiency and economic efficiency of the vegetable crops according to a closed data analysis (DEA). The thesis highlighted that low production volumes vary in achieving the optimum volume of production and area, which reduces the level of costs and maximizes profits for farmers. The thesis recommended adopting the experiences of farm owners and benefiting from them in employing their expertise in inefficient farms in order to reach full efficiency levels.
