The dissertation reviewed the possibility of applying the GFMIS system in improving government financial management via designing a questionnaire that was distributed to a group of accountants, managers and employees in the departments affiliated with the Ministry of Finance. The dissertation concluded the need for the administration to pay attention to the data and information provided by the financial and government information management system so that the administration can control its expenses and detect deviations before they occur and being treated, as well as the need to increase the administration’s awareness and interest in applying the financial and government information management system because of the speed and accuracy it provides. save time and effort. The dissertation recommended increasing interest in implementing the government financial information management system because of its multiple functions for planning, controlling, making decisions on a large scale and giving departments attention to the data and information provided by the system so that the administration can control its expenditures.
