His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi approved on establishing and launch of the College of Medicine at the University of Mosul.

Dr. Al-Aboudi directed to include the new college in the Central Admissions application form for the academic year 2025/2026, to allow students graduating from the first and second semesters of middle school to apply based on merit and competitive grade point average (GPA).

His Excellency reviewed that the establishment of the College of Medicine at the University of Mosul allows students to modify and confirm their choices on the Central Admissions form when applying.

It is worth to be mentioned that the College of Medicine at Mosul was established in 1959, and this new specialized formation will add additional academic momentum to the university by attracting students and expanding the paths for preparing medical professionals to meet the needs of society and the health sector.
