Diyala University’s Master’s Dissertation on Manufacturing & Preparing of Ferrite Compounds Doped with Nickel, Copper, Zinc & Cobalt

College of Science, University of Diyala discussed a master dissertation on the manufacture and preparation of ferrite compounds doped with nickel, copper, zinc, and cobalt and studied their physical and biological properties by the postgraduate student, Ms. Sara Ali Muhammad.


The dissertation highlighted developing materials with superior magnetic properties for application in industrial, medical fields and testing their effectiveness as antimicrobials.


The dissertation included the preparation of ferrite compounds doped with various elements (nickel, copper, zinc, and cobalt) using heat treatment and characterizing them using magnetometry and X-ray diffraction techniques, as well as conducting biological activity tests against some bacterial strains.


The dissertation reviewed that the zinc-doped compounds exhibited superior magnetic properties and a superior ability to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus compared to other compounds, as well as higher temperatures enhanced their effectiveness.
