During laying down of the foundation stone for the Subcritical Assembly and Central Laboratories project of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi emphasized that this project constitutes a scientific incubator and an integrated strategic environment for developing research approaches and enhancing the quality of scientific research outputs. 

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that the laboratory environment was designed according to the latest international standards to provide researchers with ample space for innovation and extensive opportunities to develop advanced scientific skills in various disciplines.

Considering the Subcritical Assembly, His Excellency highlighted that the Ministry, by embarking on this strategic path is laying the foundation for a promising scientific future for generations of students and researchers, enabling them to participate in qualitative experiments that pave the way for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and its use in developmental fields.

Dr. Al-Aboudi also reviewed that the Subcritical Assembly, with its advanced research environment, represents a pivotal pillar in achieving the fourth Sustainable Development Goal of quality education, as well as providing students with practical training opportunities and opening up broad horizons for applied research to enhance the quality of university graduates.

It is worth to be mentioned that the ceremony was attended by senior staff members, university presidents, advisors, representatives of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, and a number of diplomatic missions celebration, as well as including deliverong speeches and a documentary film that highlighted the project's objectives and strategic dimensions, as well as conducting a groundbreaking ceremony for the central laboratories project and the subcritical system, attended by university presidents and advisors.
