During IRENA, Dr. Al-Aboudi Meets Syrian Minister Of Electricity, His Excellency Stresses Strengthening Of International Partnerships

During the 13th
session of the International Renewable Energy Agency Assembly (IRENA) in the
Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and
Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi met the Minister of
Electricity of the Syrian Arab Republic, Eng. Ghassan Al-Zamil.
Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed aspects of cooperation
between the two countries and institutional coordination in the fields of
renewable energy in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly
countries.
His Excellency demonstrated that the Iraqi
government and its specialized institutions are keen on strengthening
partnerships at the international level in order to achieve the Iraqi
government's commitments in facing climate change and to prioritize dealing
with the future of sustainable energy.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting wad
attended by His Excellency the Iraqi Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates,
Dr. Mudhaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri, and on the Syrian side, His Excellency the
Ambassador, Dr. Ghassan Abbas and a number of specialists.
