During a meeting with the Indian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Prashant Bisai, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.

Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed the Ministry and its universities’ keenness on enhancing joint scientific understanding with the well-established Indian university institutions with a global presence in international forums.

His Excellency highlighted the importance of developing scientific cooperation mechanisms according to the bilateral understandings between the two sides, especially with regard to twinning programs between universities, joint supervision and mutual scholarships.

For his part, Mr. Bisai praised the development proposals for bilateral cooperation and the strategy in light of which the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research operates.

Mr. Bisai confirmed india and its university institutions' keenness on cultural exchange and updating scholarship programs offered to Iraqi students.
