During hosting His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib, today, Monday, June 7, 2021, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad Mr. President, Dr. Barham Salih reviewed the importance of upgrading academic education, ensuring the protection of the scientific independency of the universities, keeping pace with the challenges imposed by the Corona pandemic, ensuring that the scientific level is not negatively affected by these conditions facing the whole world, addressing the need to pay attention to the needs of faculty members and students to overcome obstacles and problems and to benefit from the competencies of outstanding students and opening horizons for cooperation and coordination with international universities. For his part, Dr. Abid Al-Sahib appreciated the President’s interest in the file of higher education and his directives in this regard. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib reviewed the Ministry’s work progress, its future plans and the challenges facing the education sector in Iraq.
