Department of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering, University of Diyala held an online workshop on the concept of GIS, the Faculty Member in the Department, Dr. Nahida Hameed Hamza said. Dr. Hamza added that the online workshop reviewed the importance of geographic information systems in making decisions and its role in assisting researchers as well as reviewing the concept of geographic information systems and their most important components, importance, features and applications in all walks of life besides the most important applications such as ArcMap, ArcCatalog and Arc Toolbox.
