College of Education for Pure Sciences, Thi-Qar University discussed a master dissertation on securing smart city data using optimal quantum signatures by postgraduate student, Ms. Toqah Ghani Triji.

The dissertation reviewed a multi-layered security approach that ensures secure data exchange, authentication, and privacy protection, as well as identifying security issues that may face smart city systems.

The dissertation included developing a secure communication mechanism in decentralized environments such as smart meters, while evaluating the system's efficiency according to key performance criteria such as speed, memory consumption, and resistance to advanced attacks.

The dissertation confirmed that the proposed system provides a high level of protection for electricity data against both classical and quantum attacks, PQSED and QESM approaches together form two complementary layers that enhance data security and mitigate potential risks in smart city environments.
