During a participation in the 1st Arab International Electronic Conference on the role of social workers in facing the Corona pandemic by the Palestinian Social and Psychologists Association via the Zoom platform, the faculty members in the College of Education, University of Al-Mustansiriyah, Dr. Niran Youssef and Dr. Ibtisam Saadoun reviewed the role of social service in building professionals and emergence interventions in order to confront the Corona pandemic, as well as obtaining experiences that can contribute in developing joint creative interventions to ensure the protection and safety of Arab community. Dr. Youssef also reviewed enhancing the role of social workers in supporting efforts to limit the spread of this dangerous virus facing all humanity, exchanging experiences between Arab and international countries and the most important challenges faced by specialists during the pandemic. Dr. Saadoun said that the conference comes within the framework of uniting global and Arab efforts to confront the Corona virus and build effective relations between social workers in this field. Dr. Saadoun added that the recommendations of the conference will be adopted via forming a joint team in the near future. It is worth mentioning that the conference was held in cooperation with the International Federation of Social Workers.
