In cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, Al-Karkh University of Science delivered an online lecture on Covid19 and climate change via its electronic platform, the Head of the Environmental Sciences Department in the College of Energy and Environmental Sciences, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sudani said. Dr. Al-Sudani added that the online lecture reviewed climate change and changes in climate rates and patterns due to natural and human causes, natural changes, the impact of human activity and the main factors accompanying climate change as well as addressing chemical pollution and water depletion Freshwater, loss of biodiversity, erosion of the ozone layer and land use change. Dr. Al-Sudani continued by saying that the online lecture also reviewed the relation between the spread of Corona virus and climate change, as the spread of the virus caused a complete closure of the life facilities in the world, which helped in reducing the proportion of nitrogen dioxide, which harms health of humans and environment.
