College of Engineering for Petroleum and Gas, University of Basra for Oil and Gas organized a workshop on methods of extracting oil.
The workshop, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, included delivering a lecture on the importance of oil extracting methods, how to measure oil reserves in rocks, natural powers impact in oil production and exploiting these powers in gaining positive results in the process of extracting much of oil.
The workshop reviewed how to extract oil, drilling mechanism, oil pumping process, separation of oil from water and the impurities, mechanism in which the places of gathering oil is located in the ground layers and conducting surveys to obtain positive results in the process of extracting much of oil.
