College of Engineering, University of Diyala organized an online workshop on satellite systems. The online workshop reviewed Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), its importance and its applications, as well as reviewing a road map for researchers in this field of addressing the problems experienced by the signal during the transition from the satellite to the recipient by developing receivers that have the ability to reduce errors. The online workshop also reviewed a number of axes on system architecture, systems under the GNSS, error sources that accompany the signal and methods used to reduce these errors and practical applications currently used in the civil and military fields. The online workshop highlighted a number of global systems such as the American, Russian, European and local systems such as the Chinese, Indian and Japanese systems that provide users with GPS service.
