Center of Continuing Education, Basrah University of Oil and Gas organized an online workshop on effective communication skills via Free Conference Call platform, Dean of the College, Dr. Sami Hashim Faleh Al-Saaedi said. Dr. Al-Saaedi added that the online workshop, in which more than 300 researchers and faculty members participated, reviewed on the concept of communication, listening skills, non-verbal communication, how to communicate and the elements of communication. Dr. Al-Saaedi continued by saying that the online workshop highlighted exchanging information, ideas and opinions through speaking, writing or signs but the effectiveness of communication  is the ability to solve problems, productivity, the level of psychological pressure and tension, relation with others, the ability to achieve goals and self-complacency. It is worth mentioning that the online workshop demonstrating mistakes committed during the communication process such as prejudice, negativity, complaint, exaggeration.
