College of Basic Education, University of Babylon held an online workshop on DNA extraction and amplification. The online workshop reviewed the method of extracting DNA from various samples, types of methods of extracting and positive and negatives each method. The online workshop also reviewed how to test the purity and concentration of nucleic acids with the latest technology, the PCR technique, its types, how to exploit this in forensic medicine and its genetic identity of the organism. The online workshop demonstrated diagnosing of some genetic diseases and the effect of the treatment, as well as how to read and analyze the results via the electrical relaying of samples.
