The faculty member in the College of Tourism Sciences, University of Al-Mustansiriyah, Dr. Maha Abdul Sattar Abdul-Jabbar conducted a study on the importance of medical tourism to achieve sustainable development in Iraq (Hammam Al-Alil region as an example). The study reviewed the reality of medical tourism in the Hammam Al-Alil region, which is one of the important tourist areas in the City of Mosul, in order to review the tourist edifice and its impact in stimulating the aspects of sustainable development, as well as addressing the problems and challenges facing this type of tourism and developing this sector and activate its development essence. The study recommended the necessity of investing capital and investing all the natural tourism potentials that characterize the region, in order to improve the reality of medical tourism in Hammam Al-Alil. It is worth mentioning that the study was published in the International Journal of Innovation, Creativity and Change in Scopus.
