Al-Mustansiriyah, Baghdad Universities: On Baghdad’s Soil Contamination & Numerical Method

A joint research team from the Universities of Al-Mustansiriyah and Baghdad conducted a study on estimating the rate of contamination in the soil of the City of Baghdad via using the numerical method. the joint study, in which published in the British Physics Journal in Scopus, concluded that the increasing in the population of Baghdad in the recent years led to the conversion of vegetation areas to residential, service and industrial areas linked to the technological development that caused pollution as a result of the proliferation of workshops everywhere. It is worth mentioning that the joint research team included the faculty member in Al-Mustansiriyah University, Dr. Nadia Hashim Jassim and the faculty members in Baghdad University, Dr. Lama Naji and Dr. Taghreed Hashim.
