College of Remote Sensing, and Geophysics, Al-Karkh University of Sciences delivered a lecture on exploration and oil production.
The lecture, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, included reviewing types of organic materials, how to convert them into crude oil caused by the decomposition and exposure to heat in the ground and its contact with bacteria, as well as operations of oil extraction and oil production in the fields of Iraq and studying depletion of some wells and oil wells.
The lecture aimed at reviewing the importance of geophysics in the exploration of oil wells and extraction of oil with simple financial costs and a little effort, determining the proper ways in digging wells and study the performance of the oil field during the extraction process.
