College of Science, University of Baghdad organizes a symposium on the challenges of early detection of lung cancer.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, included detecting lung cancer, molecular markers, treatment and field application of the early detection project for the most vulnerable to the lung cancer individuals.
The symposium aimed at benefiting from the experiences of the advanced countries in detecting the lung cancer, implementing those experiences in Iraq and activating the role of the research centers.
The symposium recommended avoiding using the carcinogens materials, such as asbestos, arsenic, nickel, chromium, eating healthy foods and focusing on sports activities, as well as conducting awareness campaigns and seminars on cancer.
