During inauguration ceremony of multimedia laboratories in Administration Institute, Middle Technical University, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa called on the companies and scientific research and technology institutions of the Republic of Korea increasing the academic contribution in developing the Iraqi educational system.

His Excellency said that the Ministry is keen on benefiting from the academic and research efforts of the advanced friendly country such as the Republic of South Korea in term of opening the horizons in cooperating in all walk s of the mutual academic projects in order to develop all educational system sectors in Iraq and Dr. Al-Esa confirmed on that the Ministry establish a contemporary educational system to create a society of permanent education will be adapted to the requirements of the rapid change in all walks of life.

 Dr. Al-Esa appreciated the stands of the Republic of South Korea and KOICA Agency for their supporting and funding for a number of Iraqi institutions and Higher Education is one of them via funding a number of projects and courses in different fields and His Excellency added that the cooperation is represented the deep relations between the two countries.

His Excellency said that Republic of South Korea has gone through similar conditions as Iraq suffered from the scourge of war, destruction, economic collapse and Iraq overcomes the crises and progresses in all fields via Iraqi solid will and our friends’ support and Dr. Al-Esa added that Iraq is possessed all the necessary ingredients to restore its effective and influential role internationally in different sectors.

For his part, the Korean Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Sonk Wolk Yop expressed Korean’s readiness to develop the cooperating with Iraqi in different fields, especially in the field of higher education.

For his part, Representative of the KOICA Agency in Iraq, Mr. Joe Kwank Kewell said that the project of inaugurating the multimedia laboratory in Iraq will aim at developing the foreign languages via updating the language education means.
